Job Summary:

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is currently seeking an HRIS Analyst to work in our office in Lowell, AR. This full-time position will develop, maintain and support HRIS while working with our Information Technology Department regarding integrations of the HRIS into all the HR related processes and vendors. The position will strive towards maximizing efficiency, improving processes and project implementation to ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting.

Job Description:

  • Provide subject matter expertise around optimizing and streamlining Workday HRIS System

  • Prepare data for processing by organizing information, checking for any inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting the raw data.

  • Configure and manage system workflows, security, calculated fields, condition rules, eligibility rules, and tenant setup.

  • Lead Workday projects from start to finish while understanding business needs, system requirements and manage/track the projects to achieve target scope and delivery deadlines

  • Evaluate prepare and execute implementation of bi-annual upgrades, new feature and modules. Responsible for analyzing, testing and communicating the scope of Workday releases to appropriate stakeholders to ensure smooth transition upon system release.

  • Execute daily maintenance activities including but not limited to role assignments, security audits, organization setup, etc. Conduct needs assessment of current setup, recommend, design, and implement solutions with efficiency to existing/new business processes

  • Research and resolve problems, unexpected results or process flaws. Effectively prioritize, escalate system/customer issues as required.

  • Identify opportunities by optimization and deploy solutions that replace existing manually created reports

  • Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the results of research.

  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of multiple data structures and sources to lead complex /unique data manipulation using advance data extraction and analytical tools/techniques.

  • Promote self-service reporting with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies

  • Develop an understanding of fields to which statistical methods are to be applied in order to determine whether methods and results are appropriate.

  • Examine theories, such as those of probability and inference in order to discover mathematical bases for new or improved methods of obtaining and evaluating numerical data.

  • Superior analytical and technical skills for translating and analyzing business needs into requirements, configuring system functionality, driving projects and initiatives, and delivering effective, value adding solutions

  • Develop an understanding of fields to which statistical methods are to be applied in order to determine whether methods and results are appropriate.

What does it take to be considered?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields - Human Resources, Information Systems, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Psychology, or Mathematics with preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with HRIS systems (Workday, SAP, People Soft)

  • Minimum of 1 years experience with Benefits, Talent, Staffing, or HR Core functionality

Other desired skills

  • Very good communication skills, understanding of agile project management, RUP and EUP

  • Ability to be flexible in an ever changing environment

  • Human Resources back ground or project management work with cross functional teams

  • Self-motivated, organized, high problem solving, and decision making skills

  • Possess strong computer skills with full Microsoft Suite

  • Ability to display a high level of patience and professionalism in a fast paced environment
