Under general direction, this position will be responsible for managing, producing, filming, and editing various video and digital media content to support J.B. Hunt Transport's (JBHT) business and marketing initiatives, digital ad campaigns, internal and external communications, as well as various training and recruiting projects. This position will collaborate directly with marketing strategy managers and all other areas of creative including video, content, and design. Various projects include but are not limited to customer, employee and carrier stories and case studies, product commercials for digital and social ad placement, trade show displays, corporate events, recruiting videos, and training.
Manage aspects of the video production process within the corporate marketing department at JBHT, including pre-production, logistics, filming, and post-production
Specialties could include managing or leading in areas of photography, animation, editing, and/or production (filming/lighting)
Travel out of state for various video shoots for multiple days at a time
Receive and execute detailed direction and feedback, work cohesively with other members of the video production team, and work well in a fast-paced environment
Key player in decision making process with regards to equipment and software purchases
Contribute and support all other facets of corporate marketing video production and the numerous tasks required for equipment maintenance, file management
Create unique motion graphic animations for various video content using advanced animation software. (Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Mocha Pro)
Produce, shoot, and edit video content and implement detailed changes and feedback for internal use at trade shows, sales presentations, JBHT’s internal website myjbhunt.com, and external facing outlets (jbhunt.com, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in video production or relevant field with at least 5 years of experience in video production.
Knowledge of the Frame.io platform for review and approval. Website/portfolio link highly preferred.
Advanced technical skills across all areas of video production included advanced abilities in lighting, filming, and editing.
Professional experience working in groups and production teams, but also an ability to work independently and on a deadline
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder, Lightroom, Cinema 4D, Mocha Pro)
Ability to push JBHT’s production methods forward while staying within the boundaries of established methods
Familiarity with standard practices of digital compression, including knowledge of video resolutions, codecs, and frame rates
Experience with post-production workflows, from import to sending for final delivery
Maintain file organization standards, develop naming conventions, and adapt to future media asset management tools
Advanced ability in pre-production tasks including split scripts, shot lists, scheduling, and location scouting
Keep a project on a deadline, short and long term
Experience shooting and editing in the field working under tight deadlines
Experience with professional video equipment, such as the Sony “FS” camera series or similar and Sigma Cinema Prime series lenses, as well as knowledge of sound and lighting techniques and equipment.
Quick learner who can function well in a fast-paced environment and receive continuous creative feedback and direction.
Ability to travel 35% of the time.
