This position leads all inclusion programs and strategy for the organization. You will work closely with executives, management, and HR leadership to provide expertise, manage the business relationship, and manage/deliver on initiatives to help the organization grow and continuously integrate inclusion practices. You will work across the organization to evolve and communicate Inclusion insights, direction, and progress. This position is the face of the Inclusion team to the business, cascading Inclusion outcomes and services and identifying the organizations unique needs to effectively customize for success.
Assess and lead the impact of J.B. Hunt’s practices on inclusion and work with our business units to evolve practices and metrics in recruitment, talent management, total rewards, and employee experience
Develop and implement strategic inclusion programs that aid growth, innovation, and the employee experience
Collaborate with senior business leaders to integrate inclusion into all applicable business strategies
Develop and deliver workshops for people leaders focused on inclusion and belonging
Coach the Talent Acquisition team on strategic partnerships, interviewing techniques and inclusive job posting descriptions
Coordinate with Employee Resource Groups on programming that helps amplify their respective communities
Collaborate with innovative, leading external resources. Conduct research and analysis to provide insight on developing trends and practices.
Maximize our Inclusion partnership and investment with the University of Arkansas.
Make any necessary changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with regulations and sensitivity to the needs of all employees
Partner with internal teams to execute internal and external inclusion communication strategy
Utilize inclusion and corporate responsibility metrics to inform organization goals and decisions
Provide coaching to and partnership with the Executive Leadership Team on areas related to inclusion and J.B. Hunt values
Provide cultural change to support J.B. Hunt’s ability to deepen its relationship to and support of all employees, customers, and communities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with at least 10 or more years of progressive, relevant experience leading people OR high school diploma with at least 15 years of direct experience leading people and DEI initiatives for a large organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Demonstrate knowledgeable cross-cultural skills with the ability to successfully approach, build trust and negotiate across multiple cultures, markets, and community/business leaders
Experience in organizational project management and collaboration efforts
Ability to convey complex ideas, unique concepts, and proposals to enroll team, peers, and management
Experience working with employees and leaders at all levels
Ability to build capacity of individuals and teams through employee development, involvement, and communication
Bachelors: Business Administration/Management, Bachelors: Human Resources Management, High School (Required)
