Job Description Summary:
The Learning & Development Analyst designs, develops, and delivers modern workplace learning and training experiences for new and existing employees of the J. B. Hunt Engineering & Technology (E&T) organization. They also assess and work to continually improve these learning and training experiences. Reports directly to the Associate Manager, E&T Learning Program. Works with management, enterprise architects, software development teams, and procurement within E&T.
Assess individual and group training needs and skills gaps.
Design, develop, and deliver modern workplace training experiences.
Prepare all course content.
Apply modern workplace learning experiences (e.g., distance learning, e-learning, experiential learning, flipped classroom, blended learning).
Integrate training with diverse, real-world situations and experiences.
Exhibit a high energy and enthusiastic presentation style that will engage and energize participants.
Assess effectiveness of training experiences.
Continuously and proactively updates and improves course content and delivery effectiveness.
Manage all logistics involved in delivery of live and virtual classroom events including enrollment, accommodations, conferencing technology, setup for experiential learning, etc.
Identifies third-party learning alternatives, coordinates scheduling, and procurement of those services.
Promote and market learning opportunities.
Instruct users on an individual or group basis.
Keep personal technology skills and knowledge up to date.
BS/BA from an accredited institution
3+ years of software development experience.
2+ years of strong stand up facilitative training experience.
2+ years of experience in designing and developing training experiences.
Must look forward to, and gain energy from, the execution of a learning program.
Comfortable being highly detailed, organized, efficient, and deadline driven on all project and administrative tasks.
Very comfortable using MS Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Very comfortable using tools to design, develop, and deliver modern learning experiences.
Expert at listening and building rapport with internal customers at all levels.
Extremely effective time management skills with little supervision.
Very strong verbal and written skills.
Collaborative, flexible, and committed team player.
Must be extremely comfortable giving and receiving developmental feedback on a regular basis.
Knowledge of the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
Skilled at conducting needs analysis to determine training-treatable requirements and appropriate delivery methods.
