Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for researching and determining the level of responsibility for damages incurred to JBH equipment. Submitting claims to the railroads. Creating awareness to lower the amount of damage to our equipment and recoup as many dollars as possible.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit electronic repairs to railroad for validation

  • Ensure the activities of subrogationarein compliance withall applicable regulations; maintain all necessary records

  • Investigate circumstances of routine claims to determine if and to what extent coverage applies by collecting evidence from work order information or JBH personnel

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical and/or claims adjustment experience

  • Basic Computer Skills

  • Clerical and administrative knowledge

  • Experience in an administrative or clerical job

  • Experience in the transportation industry

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • Interest in learning new technologies

  • Proficient active listening skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)

  • Proficient organizational skills

  • Proficient time management skills

  • Self-motivation.

GED (Required), High School (Required)
