Job Summary:
The HR Business Analyst at J.B. Hunt is responsible for identifying and analyzing business process flows, master data requirements and user requirements as it pertains to the successful implementation of a technology solution within HR system specifications. He or she will be tasked with understanding and documenting the “as is” environment to provide functional expertise and knowledge of the existing business practices as well as reconciling those requirements to new system capabilities.
Job Description:
The HR Business Analyst will be responsible for creating the Business Requirements Document (BRD) which aligns the high level business processes to the specific use cases. He or she will be the primary liaison between the business teams and the project team and represent the user interests in system design and software configuration planning meetings. He or she will work closely with the System Analysts to translate the business requirements (BRDs) to system requirements (use cases) and in turn will work with business users to develop necessary processes or procedural changes to streamline the business and accommodate the software applications. He or she will participate in early system testing on behalf of the business users and will work with the training team and super users to establish a comprehensive training and deployment plan.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or business related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical or business functional role
Technical:
Deep understanding of current trends and general business knowledge within HR Systems
Demonstrated process mapping skills
Ability to identify and sell commonality in processes across multiple business units
Aware of how data flows across business processes
Awareness and working knowledge of IT infrastructure
Knowledge of business applications strategy and implementation
Develop and document test cases with users
Provide end-user testing and training
Excellent analytical skills
Leverages functional/technical expertise to get results
Contributes to overall project status reporting
Effective cross-functional decision making
