Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for sourcing, soliciting, and interviewing potential candidates for primarily entry and mid-level exempt positions. This individual is responsible for selling J.B. Hunt's compensation and benefits packages, advising on pay/salary, and coaching hiring managers on recruiting best practices.
Minimum Qualification: Associate's Degree with 2-3 years combination of education, experience and training. Preferred Qualification: Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field, with 2-3 years of recruiting experience, education, and training Ability to exercise discretion Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities Ability to multi-task Ability to pay attention to detail Ability to quickly learn technical knowledge Ability to make time-sensitive decisions Basic critical thinking skills Basic deductive reasoning skills Flexible to work around candidates' schedule Interpersonal or “people” skills Proficient active listening skills Self-motivation Superior customer service skills Understanding of the end-to-end recruiting cycle.
Advise hiring managers on pay/salary, Coach hiring managers regarding recruiting strategies, Communicate regularly with department leaders and key business partners to build relationships across the organization, Communicate with considered job applicants to inform them of the status of their application, Create requisitions and job posting content, Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective and current candidates utilizing basic sourcing and recruiting strategies., Extend offers of employment and negotiate offer components within pre-determined parameters with hiring manager approval, Manage, plan, and facilitate activities for organizational recruiting such as company information sessions and interview days, Participate in departmental staffing meetings and share data on candidate activity and recruiting progress. Regularly report on recruiting activity, tactics, strategy, short-comings and successes. Provide information to help hiring managers and influence workforce planning decisions., Provide basic-level candidate experience by showcasing knowledge of the organization, Recruits for job roles that vary in complexity; primarily entry-level exempt but occaisonally up to mid-level, with pay that ranges from entry-level to upper level exempt positions., Schedule interviews for hiring managers, Uses discretion to screen candidates and perform interviews for determining fit of candidates and refering to appropriate positions
