Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitiors at corporate and/or remote premises. The incumbent will also protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities: • Adhere to security systems, technologies, operating standards and procedures; continually monitor existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud • Work with management to ensure that employee safety is always being addressed and processes are updated to keep everyone out of harms way • Work with law enforcement agencies (local, state and federal) and remain compliant with local, state and federal regulations • Respond to medical events as needed • Provide security measures and assistance to employees and visitors when incidents occur • Perform security patrols and enforce identification procedures for employees and visitors • Monitor remote sites via cameras and call boxes to identify and report any suspicious or out of place activity; communicate with internal and external personnel on the phone or through email to resolve any concerns/issues • Maintain log of remote site issues, thefts, or lost/misplaced equipment while documenting all details of the event and remaining in communication with law enforcement as needed to provide appropriate information for reports • Identify, investigate and write reports on accidents, incidents or suspicious activities; record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses and obtain signatures for statements given • Grant access to employees and visitors entering building, validate credentials upon arrival and make temporary/permanent badges as needed • Conduct security awareness programs; monitor and document actual and potential security breaches • Conduct routine monitoring of facilities, campus buildings and/or parking lots in person or by video surveillance to identify and resolve any violations, issues, or concerns; report to management as appropriate • Complete additional training classes (30 hours) that cover employee safety and response including yearly checks on knowledge retention • Assist company managers in security and investigative matters • Answer incoming calls of security concerns and identify next steps to address the concern or help direct to the best point of contact

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1-2 years of security-related experience and/or training; ability to pass a background check CPR Certification. Preferred Qualification: Experience in security, military and/or law enforcement Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively Ability to fulfill physical requirements of position Ability to maintain professionalism while dealing with difficult individuals Ability to make independent time-sensitive decisions Ability to remain objective Ability to work both individually and as a team Customer Service skills Experience working in a fast-paced environment Interest in learning new technologies/software applications Knowledge of basic employee safety Proficient time management skills Reporting skills Surveillance skills Willingness to work night shifts.
