Job Summary:

The Sales Talent Development Consultant works closely with sales leadership to develop, implement, and execute learning and development best practices for the Enterprise Sales & Integrated Capacity Solutions sales teams.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate & build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Sales & Executive Leadership) to analyze sales needs and initiatives, develop & design learning solutions or interventions, support adoption, evaluate their impact to drive sales performance and increase sales capabilities.

  • Develop and lead company-wide learning strategy that encompasses all sales related employees.

  • Gather training needs data from various sources, including personal observations of the sales group, employee survey data, and other information, translating this data into needs assessment and recommending appropriate interventions to meet the needs.

  • Deliver training for groups large and small.

  • Ensure sales process best practices are being effectively implemented and embraced.

  • Provide effective coaching and counseling at all levels of the organization.

  • Collect and review qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities to improve talent development within the Sales organization.

  • Assess training and development program effectiveness and prepare reports and recommendations.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two to four-year degree from an accredited university and at least one year in J.B. Hunt Sales or equivalent experience and/or training.

  • Comfortable with creating and driving talent development strategy, and promoting strategy within all levels of the organization.

  • Vast knowledge of systems and applications required to complete all job related tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Displays solid job knowledge and ability to learn new skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures.

  • Ability to motivate and command an audience while effectively presenting information and responding to questions.

  • Ability to multi-task several initiatives at a time.

  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.

  • Requires dependability and time management.
