Job Description Summary:
The IT Governance and Compliance Manager is responsible for: Information Technology and Information Security policy review and compliance, designing and testing of IT controls and risk assessments. Self-directed/under little supervision, the Manager mentors and leads associates. The team size will be less than 10 personnel. This person will perform personnel evaluations, interact with the team, manage projects, and define key performance indicators to drive the success of the team. Manager will participate in executive project discussions and help align their team with the projects to ensure success. This person will have direct influence and accountability to the budget.
Manage a small team of administrators who ensure compliance with on General IT (GIT) and security controls
Provides coaching and guidance to associates ensuring timeliness and quality of deliverables.
Leads and executes audit engagements for IT from beginning to end, to include understanding horizontal and vertical impacts across the entire audit organization (i.e. ability to cross matrix).
Collaborate with Internal Audit, Legal, Corporate Security, External Auditors and other stakeholders in:
Planning, coordinating and executing regular system audits on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Performing yearly financial and GIT audit
Creating policies and standards
Set entity wide IT guidance for updated policies and standards using methods such as email notification, Intranet posting, and the security awareness training program or other methods to ensure understanding and acceptance.
Conducts IT risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies, regulatory requirements and adherence to best practices.
Ensures engagements are completed objectively, professionally, and in accordance with corporate and industry audit standards.
Manages engagement-related efforts and assignments of staff with varying degrees of expertise and experience when conducting engagements.
Conducts or assists with special reviews, investigations, monitoring activities, and work for external auditors and/or regulators.
Provides guidance on the use of various business systems, applications, and/or audit tools to create queries and ad hoc reports.
Updates engagement risk assessments utilizing current data.
Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data collected from multiple sources to ensure valid conclusions are drawn.
Ensures and develops content of business monitoring and reports. Reviews work papers and delivers audit team engagement performance evaluations.
May communicate with all levels of staff up to executive leaders.
Design, implement, and improve internal security controls while assisting with any corrective actions.
Maintain all E&T Internal Controls.
Maintain governance over IT policies, standards, and procedures.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Systems, Risk Management, Compliance, Accounting, Legal, or similar field.
Preferred Qualifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, CSA, and/or GIAC
Experience: Seven or more years of experience or equivalent experience and/or training.
