As a brokerage, ICS is very familiar with supply and demand. And as with any brokerage, for ICS, there is supply on one side and demand on the other, with the broker making money on the margin in the middle. For ICS, the supply side represents the shipments of freight of its customers. The demand side represents the 30,000 partner transportation companies with whom it currently works. So, for example, consider a shipment of freight from Dallas, TX to Philadelphia, PA. The customer has agreed to pay ICS $2,000 for the safe, on-time pick-up and delivery of the freight. A Carrier Sales Coordinator will then coordinate that shipment of freight with another trucking company for a profitable amount, say $1,600. The difference between what ICS pays a carrier and what ICS receives from its customers is its profit. So where would you come in?

Job Description:

If you are applying to this position, it is because you have signed up to attend the JBHunt Job Fair on June 28, 2018 and July 12, 2018. Please note we will only consider candidates that have both applied and signed up to attend this event. You will be considered for the following positions:

Transportation Specialist:

  • Entry Level; Administrative; Operations Support; Hourly; 40 hour work week.

  • Perform daily outbound calls for load status; answer inbound calls.

  • Perform check-calls pertaining to six points of dispatch for all loads that are in transit.

  • Monitor freight in transit and troubleshoot problems to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Assist internal customers with problems on loads or external customers.

  • Document information pertaining to driver status; communicate to all parties if applicable.

  • Responsible for a 1-to-1 call ratio per check-call event.

Customer Experience Representative- ICS:

  • Entry Level; Administrative; Customer Service; Some Inside Sales; Heavy Relationship Maintenance; Salaried Non-Exempt; 40 hour work week.

  • Market, service and promote J.B. Hunt's transportation products and services.

  • Develop qualified leads and solicit freight from new and existing customers.

  • Book and trace loads tendered from customers.

  • Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments, track freight volume by customer.

  • Maintain and build effective relationships with customers.

  • Assist internal customers with problems on loads or external customers.

  • Post information electronically on available trucks and capacity for specific regions.

Capacity Procurement Representative:

  • Entry Level; Operations/Coverage/Brokerage; Heavy Carrier Relationship Maintenance & Negotiation; Salaried Non-Exempt; 45 hour work week.

  • Ensure customer’s freight is picked up and delivered, using safe, reliable carriers.

  • Develop and manage a network of outside carriers to ensure adequate capacity for assigned market.

  • Negotiate with carriers to meet margin requirements and ensure maximum profitability.

  • Manage all freight in transit by obtaining appropriate updates from carriers/drivers to monitor movement and ensure on-time delivery.

  • Meet or exceed margin and revenue goals for assigned branch.

Carrier Adoption Representative:

  • Entry Level; Operations/Customer Service/Inside Sales; Heavy Relationship Maintenance; Salaried Non-Exempt; 45hour work week.

  • Develop enduring relationships with our exceptional carriers to maximize our cutting edge 360 technology.

  • Promote and sell our 360 platform to our carriers.

  • Cultivate long lasting relationships with both current carriers and new carriers.

  • Work with and train carriers, once signed up, on how to use and leverage 360 to grow their business.
