Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision, the Director I will be responsible for developing relationships that drive strategic partnerships with key clients within a specified region with possible revenue impact up to 40M. The incumbent will provide day to day support for customers and internal account managers as well as provide tactical resolutions for various customer issues. The Director I will be responsible for execution and change management plans for all process improvement, and act as the single point of contact for daily interactions with customers and operational owners.
Execute special projects at the direction of the Director of Strategic Accounts II, often as it pertains to the expansion of services for clients to drive Customer Value Delivery (CVD).
Responsible for upholding a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining direct line interactions with key stakeholders regarding service, pricing and strategy through organization of JB Hunt operations and support teams.
Ensure account managers are sustaining delivery and service expectations of customers to meet contractual obligations by developing and implementing uniform practices and methodologies.
Review current processes and implement changes to drive efficient and effective customer service while maintaining focus on fiscal responsibility by engaging resources (Safety, HR, Maintenance, Engineering, etc) as needed to drive continuous improvement.
Provide account analysis upon request which may include, but is not limited to, cost studies, measurement tools and utilization studies and make appropriate recommendations based on KPI results.
Deliver accurate invoicing, KPIs, and account specific reporting to customers to ensure accounts receivable compliance to keep clients in line with contractual obligations.
Work with JB Hunt Operational Leadership to coordinate surge capacity for assigned accounts and provide support to meet customers’ seasonal capacity and special event demands.
Work closely with Operations to ensure they have the tools, knowledge, training and support they need to perform their responsibilities for implementation of new accounts and/or to make changes to existing accounts to ensure their profitable return.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and three years management experience.
