Under administrative direction, this position is responsible for developing unique engineered solutions to meet the requirements of both internal and external customers. Identifies and implements innovative methods and decision support systems to improve the overall value of J.B. Hunt Transport's service delivery processes. Uses advanced techniques to create engineered decision-making solutions that control costs, increase revenues, and optimize network efficiencies. The position is responsible for executing a digital transformation of J.B. Hunt.
Key Responsibilities: •Ensures company maintains best-in-class Engineering and Technology products and pricing by consulting with expert knowledge. •Defines budgets and initiatives by advocating for the project or department in order ensure department effectiveness. •Determines the strategic prioritization of multiple cross-functional projects by coordinating with other senior leadership in order to meet long-term strategic goals. •Sets, exemplifies, and evangelizes organizational culture to management and other senior leadership. •Collaborates with business leaders by communicating project results in order to ensure the alignment of portfolio results and business goals. •Addresses department needs by collaborating with organizational leadership. •Ensures management adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards by coaching employees in required practices or applying corrective actions. •Interviews and hires potential employees for Engineering and Technology departments. •Builds relationships between and collaborates with senior leadership roles within and outside the company to support organizational effectiveness. •Owns and maintains business relationships with current vendors and establishes relationships with prospective vendors. •Represents and advocates for the company externally through recruiting and attending educational events and industry conferences.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Management, Information Technology, or related field, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 6 years of Project Management or Management-Executive. Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration/Management, or Information Technology. Project Management Professional Certification.
