Job Summary:

The Agile Coach is a member of the coaching center of excellence that creates and executes the agile transformation roadmap. They coach corporate teams on agile philosophy and practices, influencing the maturity of the organization to drive change and effective outcomes. They are responsible for guiding teams and leadership through the implementation process and encourage others to embrace agility.

Job Description:


The Agile Coach guides the creative process that inspires personal and professional potential by following their agenda rather than guiding by knowledge, opinion or influence. Coaching activities might include helping individuals and teams with agile approach selection, up or downstream work management strategies, or role clarity.


The Agile Coach must educate employees at all levels, including senior leaders, on agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work. They provide training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of agile practices.


As a mentor, the Agile Coach is responsible for guiding individuals and teams into the agile mindset, providing employees with feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions. They provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating across widely varying levels and roles.


The Agile Coach is an unbiased facilitator that guides teams through processes that help them come to solutions and make decisions. Facilitation activities might include leading problem-solving workshops, open space meetings, MVP mapping or retrospectives.

Implement Transformation Roadmap

The Agile Coach will help support and inform the organizational adoption of agility. This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice agile, to sustaining agility and continually offering strategies for improvement.

The Agile Coach must be familiar with a variety of techniques, frameworks and approaches that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation. In order to do this, the Agile Coach must also embody the agile principles and lead by example.


Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Management, Computer and Information Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 2 years of experience working on an agile team, coaching agile teams, and change management.

Certifications in one or more of the following, or similar certifications:

Coaching - ICP-ACC, CEC, CAC

Scrum - CSM or equivalent

Kanban - KMPI, KMPII

Product Management - ICAGILE - IC-EPO, IC-APO, IC-BAF, IC-BVA


Scaled Frameworks (LeSS, Nexus, DAD, SAFe, etc.) knowledge

Presentation\Communication skills

Servant leadership

Lean principles

Agile transformation involvement with organizational leaders preferred
