Job Description Summary:

Position Summary: Under general supervision, provides key support for functional groups, including performance of a wide variety of specialized clerical functions involving compiling and arranging data, making computations, laying out and preparing reports, processing and coding documents, and maintaining specialized and comprehensive records and filing. Sets up and prepares statistical reports. Resolves discrepancies and may communicate with a variety of administrative and professional employees within and outside the organization. Responsibilities: Duties and tasks require independent analysis and independent judgment and reflect substantial variety and complexity. Performs complex office work such as document processing, record-keeping and report compilation. Assignments are broad in nature and usually require originality and ingenuity. Has a detailed knowledge of company and/or department procedures related to work performed. May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. This job often represents the top level of knowledge and specialization in the practices, procedures, and precedents of the department with a low level of supervision.

Job Description:

  • Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Creates paper 7512 forms and electronic QP/WP in-bonds for T&E, ITs and IEs movements, including shipments inbound to inland FTZ

  • Management and ownership of In-bond processes

  • Tracks inbound freight and prioritizes documents to ensure timely entry filing

  • Prepares and submits timely and compliant customs entries

  • Makes corrections and updates to entries as necessary

  • Ensures all government required forms and information are compliant and provided timely

  • Understand all CBP regulations (19 CFR) to ensure the company is compliant

  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management

  • Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload, and make adjustments to meet business needs

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English/Spanish fluently

  • Work Experience:

  • 1 plus years of experience in opening and arriving/exporting in-bonds

  • 1 plus years of relevant customs brokerage experience processing varied import entry transactions

  • Education - High school diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred Qualifications - Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
