Job Description Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting J.B. HUNT FMS operations on all matters related to execution of our Warehouse Management System and Inventory Control Processes. This position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. One will be responsible for leading cycle programs in order to identify and eliminate inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. This will require working with facilities while on or off-site to adequately ensure inventory procedures are being followed without exception.

Incumbent will also support JB HUNT FMS Operations with gathering and analysis of large data sets for various business projects involved with the movement and/or storage of the client’s product. This includes documentation of business requirements, process mapping, and data validation. Designed solutions should fulfill the business requirements and support the creation and implementation of a strategic plan. During the project, they will work to support operations with enhancements towards stabilization and consistency of use. At project closure, they will document lessons learned and future actions plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • FMS Divisional Support

  • First level contact of the business for any inquiries including WMS system support, inventory policy and procedures, improvement analyses, and advice.

  • Provides ongoing responsibility for system failure prevention, system problem calls, and user inquiries.

  • Seeks constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenges processes to ensure divisional consistency.

  • Project

  • Responsible for system requirements, detailed functional specifications, system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance, and deployment for large and small projects.

  • Provides post-implementation process and application support.

  • Assists with development of training materials and trains power users.

  • Evaluate and develops reliable and efficient solutions to fulfill the business requirements.

  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Completes tasks to meet project deadlines and support Service Level Agreement's.

  • Generates ideas which result in cost reduction and/or return on investment for the company.

  • Illustrate and document communication flow and process steps through Visio mapping.

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned in a timely fashion.

  • Query company information systems to capture necessary data sets.

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of JB HUNT cost saving directives.

  • Regularly coordinate meetings with management to present projects status.

  • Monitor projects to ensure they do not violate JB HUNT standards, processes, and procedures.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; 2+ years related experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Analytics, Business Finance, or Process Improvement; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 5 years of field experience.
